Norris storms to Zandvoort win as Antonelli extends title lead

Lando Norris delivered a commanding performance to secure victory for McLaren at the Dutch Grand Prix, taking his second consecutive win at Zandvoort. The British driver managed the race from the front, controlling his pace and neutralizing any threats from the chasing pack across the 72-lap distance.
Behind the race winner, Mercedes claimed a double podium finish to consolidate its position at the summit of the constructors' championship. Andrea Kimi Antonelli crossed the finish line 11.5 seconds behind Norris in second place, holding off a concerted challenge from teammate George Russell.
Russell completed the podium in third, finishing just ahead of the Ferrari duo. Lewis Hamilton steered his Ferrari to fourth place, fending off teammate Charles Leclerc by less than a second as the Scuderia secured vital points in the team standings.
Oscar Piastri took sixth for McLaren, finishing more than thirty seconds adrift of the leading group. Liam Lawson salvaged seventh for Red Bull in a difficult afternoon that saw his teammate, Max Verstappen, join a list of retirements that included Valtteri Bottas, Esteban Ocon, Lance Stroll, and Ollie Bearman.
Nico Hulkenberg drove a steady race to bring Audi home in eighth position, claiming points ahead of Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso and Alpine driver Pierre Gasly, who rounded out the top ten after finishing one lap down on the leaders.
Further down the order, Yuki Tsunoda and Arvid Lindblad finished just outside the points for Racing Bulls, followed by Gabriel Bortoleto for Audi and Franco Colapinto for Alpine. Sergio Perez crossed the line two laps down for Cadillac, ahead of Williams duo Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon.
The result leaves Andrea Kimi Antonelli firmly in control of the drivers' championship at the halfway mark of the season. With twelve of the twenty-three rounds now complete, the young Italian sits on 242 points, holding a 59-point cushion over Russell and Hamilton, who share second place on 183 points.
In the constructors' standings, Mercedes leads the field with 425 points. Ferrari holds second with 338 points, while McLaren sits third on 263 points as the Formula 1 season heads toward its remaining rounds.
