George Russell converted pole position into a commanding lights-to-flag victory in the Dutch Grand Prix sprint race, leading every lap at Zandvoort. The Mercedes driver managed the gap at the front comfortably until a sudden downpour struck the circuit on the final lap, forcing the trailing pack to exercise extreme caution as they scrambled across the chequered flag.

Charles Leclerc claimed second position after executing a notable strategic choice by running the soft tyre compound, eventually passing Lando Norris on lap 18 using Overtake Mode. Norris settled for third, while championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli finished fourth after getting past Oscar Piastri at the start. The opening lap move by Antonelli stood as the solitary position change inside the top ten for the majority of the 24-lap contest.

Behind the leading group, Piastri took fifth ahead of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. Pierre Gasly secured eighth for Alpine despite finishing over 25 seconds behind the leaders, with Gabriel Bortoleto and Arvid Lindblad rounding out the points-paying positions. Liam Lawson finished eleventh in his first weekend back with Red Bull, while Nico Hulkenberg suffered the race's sole retirement due to a power issue.

Post-race investigations kept officials busy as Verstappen, Hamilton, Yuki Tsunoda, Valtteri Bottas and Lance Stroll faced scrutiny for stopping before Safety Car Line One while driving to the grid. Stewards cleared all five drivers, ruling that the crowded grid forced them to act appropriately and stop in safe spots. Meanwhile, Bortoleto remained under investigation for an alleged unsafe release from the pit lane before the race started.
