Lando Norris Establishes LN4 Fusion Junior Squad and Development Ladder
Reigning world champion Lando Norris has launched his own junior racing team alongside an ambitious driver development programme set to enter feeder series from 2027.

Lando Norris has revealed his own junior racing operation and talent pathway, confirming the creation of LN4 Fusion ahead of this weekend's Italian Grand Prix. Unveiled at an event in Monza, the project pairs the reigning Formula 1 world champion with British karting outfit Fusion Motorsport in an effort to guide emerging drivers up the single-seater pyramid.
The initiative marks a rare step for an active champion, combining personal financial backing with an investment group to establish a direct foothold across several European categories. Alongside the race team, Norris introduced the LN4 Legacy programme, designed to provide young prospects with financial aid, technical coaching, performance preparation and long-term career guidance as they transition from karting into cars.
Norris explained that the dual project addresses the steep hurdles prospects encounter when attempting to climb towards Grand Prix racing. He noted that pure ability alone rarely guarantees progression, pointing out that drivers require the right guidance, timing and structural backing to succeed on the way to the top.
To accelerate its competitive entry, LN4 Fusion has acquired key assets from German squad AIX Racing, which holds an entry in Formula 3 through 2027. The newly formed outfit plans to begin racing in 2027 across multiple categories, with confirmed programmes in Formula 3, the Italian Formula 4 Championship and the Formula Regional European Championship, while also applying to secure a place in Formula 2.
The sporting leadership of the outfit carries serious pedigree following the recruitment of René Rosin as team principal. Rosin previously spent decades steering junior powerhouse Prema through title-winning campaigns, overseeing the formative careers of drivers such as Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri and Kimi Antonelli before taking on the helm of Norris's new venture.
Operational duties will be split across two bases, with a European headquarters under development in northern Italy's Veneto region and a British facility in Cambridgeshire managing the Formula 4 branch. Long-time Fusion Motorsport head Dan Hazlewood will lead the UK arm, which also targets the British F4 championship.
Formula 1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali welcomed the announcement, praising Norris for reinvesting his experience and resources directly into the feeder categories. For Norris, the venture turns personal insight from his own rise through the ranks into an enduring framework for the next generation.
