Truck Racing Returns as Title Fight Heads to Autodrom Most
The European championship resumes in the Czech Republic this weekend, with Norbert Kiss defending a 62-point lead over his closest rivals.

The Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship reconvenes this week at Autodrom Most for the fourth round of the season, bringing seventeen heavy-metal competitors to the 4.212-kilometre Czech circuit for three days of action between August 28 and 30.
As a traditional fixture on the calendar that also hosts the pre-season open test, the venue offers familiar ground for the entire grid. Defending champion Norbert Kiss enters the weekend holding a 62-point advantage in the overall standings over joint second-placed drivers Sascha Lenz and Antonio Albacete after twelve races split across the opening three rounds.
Kiss arrives in the Czech Republic following a strong run at the Nürburgring before the summer break, where the Hungarian driver secured three victories out of four races. René Reinert claimed the remaining win in Germany, while Mark Taylor dominated the Chrome category across both days to build an eight-point lead over John Newell in that classification.
The competitive field at Most features four past and present European champions, including home hero Adam Lacko. Returning to the championship with Buggyra ZM Racing last month at the Nürburgring following a lengthy absence, the 2017 titleholder aims for a strong home podium performance in front of local fans.
Alongside the established front-runners, the weekend entry list includes race-by-race competitors Lukas Hahn, Emma Mäkinen, and Christian Ruppert. Ruppert makes his first championship start of the season at Most, joining a competitive Chrome category pack that also features Steffen Faas, Luke Garrett, and Luis Recuenco.
The championship enters its twentieth full season under the current format with increased direct management from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile. The governing body now oversees calendar development, circuit relations, and paddock operations directly, while maintaining sustainability initiatives such as TotalEnergies sustainable biofuels and Goodyear tyres incorporating sixty percent sustainable materials.
On-track action commences with two free practice sessions on Friday, followed by qualifying and racing through the weekend. Fans at the circuit will also have the opportunity to vote for the recipient of the Goodyear Wingfoot Award via Instagram following Sunday's third race.
